HealthRota is committed to maintaining high standards of ethical conduct, workforce governance and supply chain responsibility. While we are not currently in scope of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 due to our size, we recognise that NHS customers and other public sector organisations expect suppliers to demonstrate robust measures to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within their own operations and wider supply chains.
Our approach is supported by our wider employment and governance framework, including our Equal Opportunities Policy, Recruitment Policy, Grievance Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Disciplinary Policy and employee handbook. Together, these policies promote fair and lawful employment practices, objective and non-discriminatory recruitment, written employment terms, lawful pay, and clear routes for staff to raise concerns without fear of victimisation.
We also maintain procedures to protect health, safety, dignity and wellbeing at work, helping us to identify, prevent and respond appropriately to any risk of exploitation.
About Us

Our Core Values
At HealthRota, economic, social, and environmental responsibility is ingrained within our ethos, shaping our operations and maintained as integral components of our business practice.
Our success within the NHS is predominately due to our core values: to deliver innovation-driven solutions, alongside our user-centric approach, that leads to impactful change and continuous improvement.
While our size may exempt us from specific legal obligations, we understand the moral imperative to combat modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms. Therefore, we voluntarily pledge to uphold human rights and contribute to the eradication of modern slavery and human trafficking:
Ethical Conduct: Maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour within our organisation.
Supplier Engagement: Engage with our suppliers and business partners to promote responsible practices and ensure that they share our commitment to ethical conduct.
Due Diligence: Conduct proportionate due diligence processes to assess and manage the risk of slavery and human trafficking within our supply chain, and apply appropriate checks to employees, recruitment agencies and suppliers so that we know who is working for us or on our behalf.
Fair Employment Practices: Provide every employee with a written employment contract, pay employees in accordance with the law, and comply with legal obligations relating to working hours, rest breaks, holidays, health and safety, and fair treatment at work.
Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness to employees so they understand the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking, the standards expected under our policies, and how to report any concerns through management, grievance or whistleblowing routes.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and enhance our policies, procedures, and practices to strengthen our approach to preventing and addressing modern slavery and human trafficking.
Transparency: Maintain transparency in our operations and communicate openly with stakeholders about our efforts to combat modern slavery and human trafficking, despite not being legally required to publish a statement.
While we may not fall under the regulatory requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we firmly believe that every business has a responsibility to do more and do better, whether enshrined in legislation or not. We are committed to playing our part in this global effort and will continue to work towards a world where every individual is treated with dignity, respect and fairness, and where genuine concerns can be raised and investigated without fear of retaliation.
